Congratulations

Hi All,

Wow, you guys look and sound fantastic. Congrats to you all, a great new look.

Tina had her first march with City Newcastle RSL Pipes and Drums, unfortunately it rained on them. I stood off to the side and looked after the boys, and then played at the Newcastle Townhall and played during the Laying of the Wreaths.

I've attached a photo of Tina and Lachie.......David, take note of what Lachie is holding in his hand......Yes that's right.....a Chanter!

ANZAC Day 2010

Well another ANZAC day has come and gone. Liz has put some great photos on the band web site.

I have attached a video from the TV of the band. I don't know how long it will be available as there appears to be a bug in the system and previous videos seem only to be available for a day or so.

Well done to everyone for your efforts on the day.

Donated set of pipes

Last night Joyce donated a set of pipes to the band. They are a set the she bought when learning the pipes about 20 years ago but haven't been played for a long time. The pipes are made by Christies of Sydney and are in quite good condition.

Sorting through the pipe case was a real trip down memory lane for me with:

leather bag, DRM chanter reeds, cane drone reeds, PB bag seasoning, tartan bag cover, wool cords, beeswax and tie in string.

Welcome to our newest member - Adrian Barrie

Adrian has been with us almost 12 months now and is coming on well.

Adrian's first outing with the band will be at the Elizabeth Anzac day march.
